Big Sky Weather ConditionsThe Challenger Weather Station measures winds at tower 11 of the Challenger chair lift (9500 ft). Wind speed and direction, as well as air temperature, are also measured at the top terminal (9700 ft). NOTICE TO USERS: Due to DC interference produced by ski lift operations, wind speed measurements from tower 11 will read high between the hours of 0900 and 1600.
