Give Big Gallatin Valley is 6 pm tonight through 6 pm tomorrow. The Friends of the Avalanche Center will be one of many local non-profits to participate. Please join our campaign and help us support avalanche eduation and outreach in southwest Montana! We need you to tell your friends and family members about the important work we do and ask them to join us in helping to make a difference.

Visit and make a donation to us and/or to any of the great participating nonprofit organizations in Gallatin County. You will have 24 hours to make your donation, and all giving will end at 6 PM on May 3. Use this link to donate to the Friends of the Avalanche Center during the event:

If you have any questions or would like more information, e-mail us at Thank you in advance for your generosity to our organization!

Your contribution directly supports the Friends of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center (GNFAC) to provide quality avalanche education and awareness programs to all backcountry users in southwest Montana. All our education programs are free. This enables everyone, regardless of income, to get educated about avalanches. GNFAC’s avalanche advisories reach over 7000 people daily, and together our education programs reach over 5300 people a year, including grades 1–12, collegiate, search and rescue groups, ski patrol, and ski and snowmobile clubs. One in five of our participants is under the age of 18.

Thank you for your support!
