Taylor Fork Crown Profile
A natural avalanche released on the layer of big, faceted grains. The slab was up to 2 feet thick. This snowpack stricture is similar throughout southwest Montana. Slab + Weak Layer + Steep Slope + Trigger = Avalanche.
