This avalanche was triggered 50 feet away from the crown. It occured on a NNE aspect and broke about 1.5 ft deep and 150 ft wide running about 100 ft vertical. Notice exposed rocks above the crown and above slopes in the background. Last week's storm dropped about 2 ft of snow (2 in of SWE). This slope received that snow plus all the snow that landed on the exposed rocks. Remotely triggered avalanches signal very touchy conditions. Photo: M. Young
